Another item we should collectively start thinking about......

Joe has been the CL for a long, long time. That is supposed a rotating gig. If he is ready to give it up we should be ready to elect a new one. IOW, we will need a volunteer.

 

I can assure you that unless you show up in a Model T or brand new from Bolwing Green Corvette...you won't have anything stranger than what has shown up in the past. I know of a a guy that showed up in a PT Cruiser, another one in a Dodge Magnum and I want to say a former chapter leader showed up recently (two years ago?) in an Xterra. But I'm fuzzy on that last part. So if it's got Ford on the frontend...you'll fit in just fine.Two things...

(A) sure sounds like your trying to de-throne our fearless leader
(B) also sounds like you just volunteered yourself

If Joe is looking for some relief...by all means let's start talking about this. I'm guessing the GTG thread is the best place to talk about this?

 

In another forum I frequent there is a yearly GTG. Deal is the first one to mention or ask about it gets stuck planning it.
Don't see why that wouldn't work here.

 

It doesn't matter who plans the G2G's but the Chapter Leader has a specific job to do, any thing concerning the Chapter activities of any kind must be approved by the Chapter Leader there are rules that we must abide by. Joe has had the position since I gave it up when my dad got lung cancer. I believe we should start another thread for this Chapter Leader discussion.

Obviously if Joe wants to keep it he can. I was merely pointing out that it was designed to be a rotating deal, but I don't suppose it has to be.

 

Again, while I'm not opposed to the talk of change...I'd like to hear Joe's thoughts one way or the other. If he enjoys the power & torment...then by all means I'll continue to back him as the leader of this bunch of misfits. He it wants to step down...then I understand and will respect his decision. To me what it all boils down to...I'd like to hear Joe's thoughts on this matter; I mean no disrespect to either of you (Scott & Dave) for bringing this subject up. A separate thread...or the the monthly thread might be a great idea for this subject.Careful what you say Bronco Boy

 

Zack no problem , Scott or I wouldn't have even brought it up with out talking with Joe he is so busy right now it's hard to even have a conversation on the phone with him.

 

I'm all for handing the reigns over if someone else wants to take on the job, but I agree we should start a new thread just for this.
