77 F100 Flareside bed conversion

Hey all. New To forum and new owner of 77 F100 Flareside with new 351w. Bed sides are in sad shape. Previous owner tried covering entire bed in diamond plate including tailgate. Having hard time finding donor or anyone making new panels. Don't want fiberglass. Either gonna try to repair mine with some 16 guage graphs or looking to convert to Styleside. Will Styleside bed of same vintage (73-79) bolt right on to my frame? This is a daddy/daughter project

Except for models with a narrower frame, yes. Beds will interchange. Be mindful of fuel doors and such.

When shopping, verify the dimensions between the bed bolts fore and aft.

Great to hear about your daddy/daughter project. My daughter, son and I also have a truck (flareside) that we tinker on. There is a thread on here somewhere telling what beds will fit. These beds are not reproduced that I know of, but the older ones are. I am sure that they could be adapted with a little work. Post pics of your truck when you get started.

Thanks for the info guys. Just had a thought. Wonder if I could use my front bed cap and tailgate and mate to older sides? I don't care about the loss of the 90 degree tops and if I am correct, my fenders should be ok to use. Think they are the same from like 57-79?
