What is a safe rpm range for my 67 f600 with a 330 hd? I tow about 14k with it. The engine is in good shape.

 

3800-4000. Does it/did it have a governor?

 

For those engines, just about as high as it can rev with your foot to the floor

But seriously, the above is about right.

 

No governor. There are several steep short hills on the route I take. You could get out and walk faster near the top of a couple. But, low side is in the 6's and high is in the 8's, has no trouble in high side 1st. I dread using it, but am having fun by the time I get back. I just don't want anything flying out of the old girl.
