Does anyone know if you can you get the Ford Racing valve covers in the black with red lettering for EFI 5.0? All I can seem to find is non EFI versions.

I am sure I have seen other EFI motors with the red/black - are they modifying the carby version covers?

You could run them but you'd have to change your PCV setup (I.e. valve cover breather) the stock covers have the pcv valve in the rear of the passenger side cover and a fitting at the oil filler neck for the breather hose to the air box.

 

you can strategically place a hole in the valve cover where the factory pcv plumbs in. the right size hole, right size grommet, and tack some baffling (perhaps directly from another set of valve covers) to the underside of the hole, like they do from the factory to help catch oil mist.
