You also need to solder a jumper wire on the back of the gauge to bypass a resistor.

The front bumper is aftemarket from Ebay. The quality is about what I expected. Its nice, but not quite the same as OE.

Nice score with lots of spare parts. Exactly what I want to do. You've got a wonderful selection out there. Looks like it was pulled with care. What's the story?

Its actually been in storage for a few years. I got it from a fellow vintage Mustang guy. He was going to swap it into his truck, buy never got around to it. I'm going to rebuild it with a few small upgrades.

I haven't updated this thread in a while so I thought I'd post something. I will be beginning some work on the 5.8 over the winter. So, I'll have a few pictures of that.

I'm also about to upgrade the rear end to 3.73 LS from 3.55 open. I've never set up a ring and pinion before, so hopefully it goes smoothly.

Also, I'd like give a review of the Kool Vue side mirrors. They are complete junk even though they look nice. The glass part vibrates more then enough to be annoying on the highway. Also, one already had the mirror glass fall off. These I will not recommend to anyone.

Thanks for the update on the mirrors, ive been needed to get new ones since the last hail storm we had. I just dont trust the aftermarket ones and have yet to pull the trigger on a set.

No problem, just don't want others to waste money on a poor project. I'm trying to find some nice used original mirrors right now. I wonder if all the replacement mirrors are equally bad, or if maybe something like a Dorman part would be better.

So Ford still sells the OEM mirror @ a price of $296.68 each!

Does anyone know if the Jeff's Bronco Grave yard mirrors are any good? They are $69.00 each which doesnt seem cheap nor expensive.
