Restoration-1966 Ford F100 4x4 SWB Styleside 352 NP-435

I have been in the process of restoring this truck for a couple of years. I want to thank FTE, ND and others for all of the information available here. It is an on-going project.

The vehicle spent it's life in the Nevada desert on a farm. I have owned it for about 7-8 years, restoration started about 2 years ago. I have sporadic time available to work on this, I am in the sign manufacturing business and have good steel/aluminum/CAD-CAM/paint/body services and talents available. Marli (my schnauzer) and I are doing all tear down, cleaning, sand blasting, sanding, NOS parts acquisition, assembly, etc.

My philosophy for restoring this truck has shifted over the course of working on this vehicle, generally though I am wanting it to keep it as close to original specifications and parts, but do yield to this based on some parts availability or things often discussed on FTE such as better paints (base/clear), etc.

I will do my best to answer any questions.

Here is the vehicle as acquired, VIN first:

Here is the exterior of the truck:

Here are some interior shots:

Here is my helper:

Cheers! Again thanks!, m.

Great base to start off of. 4x4 slicks are my favorite trucks. Those custom cabs are sharp can't wait to get moving on my 66. Good luck I'll be following along.

That swb toolbox is a really rare piece. Great truck, looks super complete and very well optioned. Will be a very desired truck when you get it done, heck, even as she sits, it evokes some drooling.

Wow a short wheel base 4wd!!! Tell me it has the V8 also. You lucky son of a gun. I wish mine was a 4wd. No where there is a 64 4wd swb and thought about buying it for the frame and drive train to turn mine into a 4wd but just couldn't do it to a truck that my wife's dad ordered brand new and she learned to drive in.

Great looking truck, but even more impressive is the garage space!!! I wish I had that kind of space to work. Sometimes when I have time to work I mine, I pass up the opportunity because I have to move too many things before I get started !! Good luck, I'll be following

I wonder if the momentary switch near the ignition is cast "blink marker". Pretty rare if it is.

66with352, you have hit a personal nerve, you will see (as I have recently noticed) my space being completed and further along in the process......the drywall is now complete....insulation in the walls......just keeping the wood cut to keep the place warm is an annual challenge....I have had to slow down numerous times to keep stuff moved, sorted and organized (or else I didn't have the space to work on the truck)......keep moving forward, take plenty of photos because you can see the progress, thanks! m.
