Glove box door lock

I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the lock or latch the some of the 53-56 F-100's had. Not entirely certain if they were available for all those years.

Have you seen one, I did some changes to the way my door opens and need something to hold it closed so was wondering what the original looked and operated like.

If you are planning to MOD your Glove Box I'd love to see what you come up with. I have a custom cab 56 but no lock on the box.

Nothing amazing about it, used a piano hinge at the bottom of the door and made new brackets for support. Now I'm looking for a simple catch to hold it in place, doesn't have to lock. This was done because of the dash extension I made.

Thanks Bill. My wife was at the hardware store today and came home with a simple spring roller catch that will work and only cost a buck

I don't need one now but wouldn't mind seeing a picture to see what it looks like.

Dave,
Can you post a picture of the glove box. Just wondering if you can drill a hole in a regular glove box or if they were specially made for the locks. Are you going to drill yours John?
