finished some truck lighting projects

the new lighting trends you see on newer cars has motivated me to try some experimenting on my 06 F 250.

started with a new set of headlight bulbs and fog light bulbs, tried a few different combinations to get a good look.
ended up with PIAA extreme white in HL and FL, chose them cause color was whiter than OEM halogen but not blue, so just look fresh to me and was able to get matching pairs. added a relay harness and got 1.23 more volts at the HL's and did a nice adjustment against a wall to both

then experimented with some LED tail light and front park turns, after about 6 bulb types ended up with something that to me works and looks better than OEM bulbs. to me for many years LED's weren't up the the snuff, but after SMD LED came out they got better.
now running the new LED philips red 3157 in rear with the LED philips 192 for back ups

in front i ended up with sirius amber LED in park/turn, they have a nice look both on and off and decent color and lumen output plus dispersion and park turn ratio

after that went on to brighten the external 194 and 192s, found 6 watt halogen 192s (stock around 4 to 4.8W i think) and used them in HL side marker, mirrors (i have 08 up), and license plate lights. it gave all them about a 20% boost in output, just right to me

for the rear stop cargo i fount 18 watt 192 xenon landscape lights that are brighter, cooler running and whiter looks nice up there and cargo light closer in color to rest of the white lights on rear now

biggest project was to add turn bulbs to top amber side marker in the headlights, i wanted them to match the mirrors. i bought a wasted pair of spare headlights and took them apart to see if i could add a light there and there is room
so now i have the headlight amber side marker top section as a turn signal like the 08 up mirrors

next is to add a second under hood light and install a glove box light

not sure if all these ar legal in your states or how they will affect the cars lighting systems but no problems so far
all changes pretty minor i think

also used published methods to test lights for safety and function
