I've got a 2009 F250 with the Banks Monster exhaust, 6" tip, and catless y-pipe. I was curious if anyone makes shorty headers for the 3valve v10. In the past I always got shortys for my v8's but these v10s have an different power band. So will I be gaining more with shortys or long tubes on this truck?

 

I don't think you will find any headers for that truck, I have an 09 as well If you have not done a 5 star tuner for it DO IT its the best mod you will make.

 

I don't think there is a lot to be gained over the stock manifolds.

 

Thanks guys, I was just curious, I have BBK equal lengths on my 5.7 Chevy and it feels like it's got a 4,7 cam swap bc it idles and runs so smooth so I didn't know if they made any bad *** shorties for the 3v v10. I did finally take a look at the factory manifolds and they really aren't too shabby.

 

I think JBA still makes a set of shorties for the 3V 6.8l. You will get some power gains with them but not as much as a good set of long tubes. The 3V exhaust manifolds are much better than the manifolds on the 2Vs.
