standard cab pickup bed/help
Im going to look at a bed today,for my hb....The bed was to be used on a crewcab standard 8 foot bed,,,my question is will this bed work on my highboy frame,I understand maybe some mods with bolt layout,just wanted to make sure wheel wells are in proper location,thats it .Thanks for the help

1973/76 Stylesides have exposed fuel caps, 1977/79 Stylesides have fuel doors.
1973/79 F350's on the 140" wheelbase (see below) use different 8' Styleside beds, as the rear axle is set back further. The spare tire is located behind a door on the right quarter panel.
1973/76 Regular Cab Super Camper Special - 1973/79 Regular Cab Trailer Special - 1973/79 Regular Cab Camper Special. Ford dropped "Super" after 1976.

Just in case, most of the beds I've loaded up were upside down. A few guys showed up with pallets or lumber to transport right side up and I just wished them good luck as I thought they would need it.
As long as they are relatively sound you can roll them over sideways. I've done it on grass numerous times with no ill effects on the lower edges of the bedsides. I've also rolled them end for end lifting on the rear of the bed.
I wish my 73 had the fuel door every time I take the gas station squeegee to my paint to rinse the fuel off of it.
