1984 to 95 ford truck body exchange

I have a 1984 F350 6.9IDI with a badly rusted body. I also have a 1995 f150 302efi extended cab flareside with zero body rust. My question is how hard would it be (if possible) to put the 95 body on my 84? Im pretty sure the body would bolt up but im not sure how all the wiring would work because of the change in motor.

welcome to FTE.
you are correct, body will bolt on. but the wiring will be all wrong.
you would have to figure out a way to convert the dash over to the 84 cluster, and swap the 84 wiring into the 95 cab. then you will have to seal a bunch of holes in the firewall.

you would be better off looking for a 83 to 91 diesel cab, then there will be very little wiring to mess with.

Ill look into a way of swapping out the clusters. But yes it would be alot of work. Thanks for the advice.
