Dual exhaust with 1bbl

Hi! I have a 1981 ford F-100 with a 300 i6, I'm wanting to put dual exhaust on it soon (the later model EFI manifolds) question is, do I need a plate or anything for the bottom of the intake manifold? If so where can I get it? I'm a noob at this :P any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Since you are removing a needed heat source from the intake manifold you will need to to something to replace it.
