6.0 tuning and upgrades
#2
Feel free to contact me for more info. I would be happy to help you out.
As far as other upgrades go, the list is endless. You just need to decide how far you want to go HP wise.
There are other basic upgrades that should be done to the 6.0L like a coolant filter and EGR delete to name a couple.

I agreed with everything you said previous, except for that above.
1. It's an illegal upgrade if your truck is going to be driven on the street (regardless if you are exempt from local emissions testing or not)
and
2. It is unnecessary mod.
Before my truck in the siggy, I had a 2006 (bought in 05) DRW 6.0. Rumor has it that the 04s actually had one of the stronger EGR systems. Supposedly one of the worse years for the EGR valve. I had far more mods then basic tuning and still had the EGR system. Not only fully functional, but the original one that it came with when I got it with 20 miles on the odometer. Had almost 300k when I traded it in last summer.
As long as you know how to handle a diesel with an EGR system (can't drive it like the ole 7.3s or my granddads 6.9 (also my first truck), but it isn't a necessary mod, despite it being an illegal one (even in AL, rather or not you get caught is something else).
