Clutch housing dust cover

I have no clutch housing dust cover on my 1963 223 inline 6. That can't be good. Anybody have an idea where I might find one?

Here's a slightly older post that should give you the part number and, at least at that time, availability of the part.

I also don't see any NOS of those available today. Used is likely the best option if you can locate one.

Got it - thanks - looks like a pretty common missing piece - looks like I might be spending some time in salvage yards!

I have not found it to be an essential item. A worn out, torn, but usable one is ok IMO.

There's a couple pull-a-part type yards around here - I'll start there. It just seems a little dangerous to have all that exposed to mud and water (even though my slick probably won't see much of it!)

After looking into this more, it seems to be a very common problem. Anybody know WHY so many are missing? Odd.

The can't fall off--too many bolts. On my car, when the PO swapped out the transmission, the old plate didn't fit, so they just left it off. Was a bit of a puzzle finding one that did, but I didn't like the idea of rocks and dirt being thrown around in the bellhousing.

I can't find one. Yesterday I cleaned it up and sanded it. Cut a piece of heavy plastic and installed it with gasket silicone
