4WD low selector in T-Case

Hello,

I just purchased a new to me 1999 F250 with the 7.3 and manual transmission. The only thing I wasn't stoked with was the electronic transfer case selector versus the manual lever on the floor.

4 high works. 4 low does not work at all. I believe it is the solenoid on the transfer case that selects low range.

Am I correct in saying that the 4 high and 4 low motor is all one piece? it appears to only have one unit on the driver side of the T-Case. I want to make sure I'm ordering the correct part.

Thank you for your help.

to put in 4x4 low, you must....

press brake pedal
put in neutral
then select low

All of those things I have done. I believe it's the t-case selection motor that needs to be replaced.

4x4 high works....? that means motor is working.....in order for the gem module to engage into low it must see all the correct inputs, i would ck all the fuses ck cutch switch..etc. in my experience they either don't work or gets stuck in 4x4 and gets towed in, but i could be wrong as there are sensors in the motor..i think its for the dash light tho....i don't work for ford nomore so this is my 15 years of experience there
