Yes it is Jeb.

And for another update... As the new IDM didn't fix it. The shop took it back and checked it out the following day. Started right up after a battery recharge.
So they took it home and it ran fine for a day and now..wont start again. Puffing black smoke when trying.
WTH! This is a strange one.

I don't recall if you have tried changing out the cps or not….They can be intermittent just before they do a final crap out
EDIT: I just re reviewed your first post…missed it the first time…some after market cps's are not good…also did you try unplugging the ICP I have had them fail and cause a try to start situation

Yep Checked the ICP. It was clean and I did try with it unplugged.
This one has me and the mechanics stumped. They are even scratching their heads

I guess I would have to go back to Tom's post and scour everything like he suggests, rather than throw too much more cash at the shop…I still find it hard to believe you have the proper fuel pressure….I just changed out my complete positive battery cable harness and batteries and starter…I can't believe it was firing as slow as it was cranking before

Ok. Another update.

He got home and called asking if I had any other ideas. Just for *****s n giggles i told him to cycle the glow plugs 3 times then try to start it. Damn if it didn't start. Smoked like a botch...white smoke, but that cleared up as it ran. Now. The plugs were changed about 2 .... Ok. Maybe 3 yrs ago by the previous owner who I also know.... At least I thought he had. Maybe not. So anyway... The shop,is going to check again and I gave him the rundown on changing glow plugs.... But going to wait for right now as we thought the same thing as you said BRUSHFIT. Don't want to keep throwing money at it.
