Random 302 hesitation/missing/backfire

It's a 87 f150 xlt lariat with a 302 speed density type fuel injection, sometimes when I start it it has really bad idle surge, the only way to bring up the rpms is to feather the throttle and it still is missing and cutting out. After it started to get warm it kinda smoothed out to where it could idle on its own, I went inside the house, and when I came out it was running perfect. Changed most of the ignition system, has anyone else had this problem?
