1988 Ranger 4x4 driveshaft

1988 Ranger 4x4 driveshaft
So My buddy has a 88 ranger 4x4 with a 6" lift. He busted the circular that connects to the pinion flange that the spider and drive shaft assy connect to.
His question is what length drive shaft does he need to accommodate a 6" lift?
He is having a hard time finding one that will fit. If anyone has done a 6" lift, where did you get your driveshaft from? Also, where did you source a circular for this truck? I imagine rockauto, or jcwhittney, but I haven't looked there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I can't vouch for these guys as I've never used them (and don't know anyone who has), but they have tips for measuring driveshaft length.

Thanks Mike!
I guess I missed a few things last night. The rear driveshaft is where he is having problems. It is a one piece shaft, but from his description of the problem, he was having extreme vibrations at low speeds and at faster speeds before the circular broke away, which was the only piece that broke. To me this sounds like the DS was experiencing extreme angles, putting stress on the circular. He also was saying that the truck came like this, and it looks completely different from a stock 4x4 truck since the one's he's seen are all 2 piece rear driveshafts.
He said a place in town would have done it all up custom for a couple grand, but that seems ridiculously high! To me that sounds like the driveshaft is in good shape physically or they wouldn't have offered to extend it and balance it.
I've told him about the site, so perhaps he can get on here and take over
I have no experience dealing with a lift or driveshafts yet, my only suggestion to him was to try and take it back to stock parts, and work from there.
