engine wont start

okay so here is what happened i was driving down the highway at 80mph and the engine over heated blew coolant everywhere the engine shut off on its own i believe the engine is hydro locked but i think that is from fuel, blow injector when the engine shut off at 80mph there was no clunk or any loud sounds and no oil spillage. i cant even get it to crank if you need any more info just ask does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Probably ruptured the EGR cooler. Hydo-locking at 80 MPH may have done mechanical damage. The first thing I would do is pull the EGR valve and look for coolant in there, you may need to raise the rear of truck so the coolant will flow forward, then you'll be able to see it. If you find coolant then I'd pull the glow plugs and turn the engine by hand to get the coolant out. Then put the glow plugs in and try to start the engine (without coolant) to check for mechanical damage. If that's all good, then replace the EGR cooler.

Do you have gauges (not the dummy gauges) like scan gauge or torque pro/dash boss? If the temps got hot enough the engine could have defueled. Also if you melted the oil filter stand pipe--your engine would be toast (melted plastic sent through out the engine)
Do you have fuel or oil in the degas bottle? Does your oil smell like diesel? Is there warter in your fuel? How did you try to crank the engine over?

This pretty well indicates internal engine damage from bent valves & pushrods to bent piston rods. Bearing damage also possible. Tear down and visual inspection is required for most of this.
