Trans cooling lines leaking 2002 4.6 SC W/towing package.
Transmission cooling lines to radiator leaking. Anyone have experance in replacing them? How long does it take, can it be done while working on the ground? Any tricks or problems to look out for?
My 02 had a leak under the radiator in the steel lines . My intent was to replace both lines but I couldn't reach the connectors on the side of the trans. I ended up cuting out the bad lines and puting in a piece of rubber line . Scott

I ended up doing the same thing. Winter coming back tomorrow so didn't have time to get involved in replacing them. Just has to last till I get a 2015.
I just did one on a 5.4 super crew. I think the hardest thing was figuring out which part I needed, there seems to be a few different options. The key is long arms and being left handed to reach the transmission side from behind the crossmember.
