SWMO Hot Rod Hundred Reliability Run - April, 4, 2015
While slightly off topic, I did want to make sure that the F100 crowd is aware of the event that the CrossMembers Car Club hosts, here in Southwest MO.
It's the new year and time to start filling in dates for your Hot Rod Calendar. The 2nd Annual SWMO Hot Rod Hundred will be happening on April 4, 2015.
I'm still working on the starting point and securing the final ending point, but made sure I had a great meal planned for the end of the run! Steve Rohlman will be providing the lunch, with pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and baked beans!
This year's route should be fun, with some time on Route 66, some rural area, and more importantly, for many, more available places to stop for bladder relief! LOL
The registration form should be posted by January 9, and like last year, early registration will get you an event T-shirt, event sticker, and lunch for 2 people. Early registration will end on March 1, 2015, to allow time for us to order the event T's. Event registration form will be posted here:

LOL. The "focus" is the pre-65 stuff, but there will be some later model vehicles there. Feel free to bring the '67 and join us. Matter of fact, the route that I have mapped out (and still need to trial run) comes down 125 into Sparta, and heads west, eventually ending in Crane.

We had 72 vehicles that participated last year, and I am expecting that it will grow beyond that this year. I'm going to have to come up with a good way to segment the groups so that we don't overwhelm the various towns that we pass through.

LOL. I figured on a Saturday, and with great weather outside, you had better things to do than work in the shop!
As far as what did I think, from the photo, I think that your trucks are WAY bigger than mine.
As far as the route goes, I hate to say it, but I think that instead of getting into the traffic at 14 and 125, we're probably going to hit JJ, north of Sparta, and then cut off at McCracken Road, and wind up down by the riverside. If we have 75 or more vehicles, which is a huge probability, I think that we'll have better success keeping packs together that way.
The two roughest parts of the route will be crossing Hwy 65, at Rogersville, and getting through Ozark. The rest of the route looks pretty good.

Thanks for asking, Chris. The event was a blast. Over 90 cars/trucks participated and somewhere near 200 people. One of the most gorgeous days of the year, too.
I was too busy with other stuff and totally forgot to take photos. Fortunately for me, I had made sure that there were guys who knew how to use a camera at the event.
