Sounds like a good plan John. Glad to hear we got some good diagnosing equipment. I tried to use a test light to find the miss, I got all but 3 wires checked and didn't seem to find it. The last 3 were facing towards the carb and it would have been difficult to push the needle in.

Sure I can pull the plug wires but I have an irrational fear of getting zapped in doing so. One shock from a car battery has made me a little more careful.

I've never timed an engine using anything other than our cheap light and my ear when I first got it and tried to show off. We put a white mark on the factory degree for the timing marks so its lined up with that currently. The engine isn't shaking nearly as bad as it used to. Which I am very happy for. As mentioned in the meet thread, some dipstick cut my tail light wires and used slip connectors to join the wires back together. Mysteriously the driver side quit working, I wonder why...

So when I get home after work, I plan to re-splice it and get it working before I leave. I've also got to get an insurance card printed, then I should be about set. I'm pretty excited!

Welcome back Ghost. We were going anywhere

The meet went well, I liked it a lot. We almost got everything done, Bently got his fluid flush done, my hydroboost has been installed, just needs a few more things done before its ready to go. I'm not sure how Aarons truck is doing, still needed a few things when I left. I'll be back out that way in time to get my bronco finished up.

Good to hear things went well.
Myself. I ended up with an emergency call and trip to the Dr office.
Let me put it to you this way. No more PT until the MIR gets done.
Things have been a real pain in the back, *** and leg. Now I get some
time to get better.

Best of luck to you Sean, hope things work out.

The meet did go well, although the bronco didn't get finished. We kind of expected issues but at the same time, we didn't. I just hope it isn't a burden for John and his wife with the bronco there. It isn't exactly out of the way.

Did you locate a hydraulic shop to replace the fitting you need? I am going to pick up a cooler line here shortly.

I did. There is a place in Tacoma called Williams Oil Filter. I was recommended to go there by a Napa cashier (stopped there before heading to kent for Pirtek). He said they make the American Pipe place look like kids store. I will say, hey know their stuff. They pretty much knew what I was talking about and needed without me explaining. Which I wasn't expecting.

They aren't exactly quick but I am fine with that, some of the other customers weren't too happy. They took a section of tube with the correct fitting and welded it into the GM tube. It looks like it'll be solid.

Now I have to coordinate a time and place to meet up with john to drop it off. I can drive out to his house but I wouldn't have much time to work on the truck.

Gruesome- good to here on the line. Are you trying to get out there next Wednesday? Or is John busy?

In other news I picked up a replacement cooler line and tracked down more Mercon V at the Federal Way Walmart. Everything is installed and working well.
$22 for the new hard line and fitting.

That line is longer that you helper is tall.
But given time she should catch-up and then pass it.
Not sure if the ears will still be there or not.

But anyway I was out truck hunting for Nance459 today
at Fugate Ford Mazda in Enumclaw WA. Not a bad looking truck.

Then I happened to find something for me.

Got to keep me away from newer trucks $$$$

Hi there Tim!

Bently, I'm not too sure. Wednesday would be the latest, I hate to have my bronco taking up johns driveway space. He seems pretty busy so earlier than that might not happen but if I can I will. However, I'll definitely be up there Wednesday. One way or another I've got Wednesday off as usual and Thursday as well since I'll be working for memorial day. If the truck comes home Wednesday, I'll have Thursday to do a few more things and maybe get it cleaned up more. The interior could use a good cleaning and declutter.
