OT- wood lamp shade
I ran across this video and know there are several expert woodworkers here.
This is very interesting. My 10 year old watched it with me and said it was a waste of a lot of good wood.
I have never seen anything quite like this, pretty cool though.

Nice, tho Woodpeckers likely a problem - heck, I'm still pissed off at the Dutch for killing all the Elms.

He must have a very delicate touch at the end with it being so thin. Thanks for sharing.

I think that I would just take a piece of veneer and wrap it around a cylinder to make the same shade. The 10 yr old is right...lots of wasted wood.

Yes, a lot of wasted wood. Could have made
several different size shades from just that
one round. Hope he has a chip burner stove.
