Driving
Finally got to take her on the first test drive, WOW what a Machine. After I put the fire out under the dash and rewired the heater. She's a handful rolling down the road. I think I need to look at the slop in the steering, hopefully there is an adjustment to take the play out.Have to run at 1/2 choke to get any power. So I will be looking into a rebuild kit for the carb. And info on the steering issue.

Glad you got to go for a spin. That is always fun. The play in the steering is more than likely a compounding of many things unless you have checked them out. Tie rod ends and drag link as well as wear in the steering box can create a lot of movement in the steering wheel before the wheels actual feel it. There is a preload adjustment for the worm bearing in the gearbox but you need to follow the procedure outlined in the shop manual or you could end up causing more wear.

rebuild holley issues
So I rebuilt my 1904 Holley with the Mikes Carb kit. Pretty straight forward.
Star it up runs nice idles then the gas starts puking out the over flow. Pull cover pull gas like spray cleaner in the seat area. re assemble same thing. Spent time trouble shooting everything I could find online. Need some feed back. I will try to figure out how to check fuel pressure tomorrow.

Yes I have the gasket between the seat and body, I see on the video from mikes carb where I got the kit he says he likes to loosen and tighten the screw a few times to seat the copper. I adjusted the float level , The Brass Float is in god shape no holes , no gas inside. I verified it was not rubbing on cover. I think I need to figure out how to check my fuel pressure.
