Does it crank good?
If so, don't worry about it.

See comparison videos to see if it's cranking normally, or slow:
(mine) or

Don't listen to it fire, listen to how fast it was cranking.

There was a thread recently about new DB electrical starters on amazon. Good product, great price was the verdict. I got one a few weeks ago, so far so good. Took my third or fourth autozone starter back for a cash refund.

DB starter is good for about a year, then they crap out just like the china rebuilds.
if you have a local rebuilder service, ask around about their reputation.
i have a very good rebuilder a few miles up the road from me.
i bought on of those DB starters to keep on the shelf as a spare incase i needed one when no one was open.

it is now rebuilt waiting on the shelf.
after one years use, nothing inside it was salvageable, everything except for the case had to be replaced.
they are cheap for a reason, all the internal parts are cheap quality.

my second AZ reman is acting up from time to time too.it doesn't engage fully sometime.iv never had good luck with remans but they're easy enough to replace and i don't need to pay $ to swap 'em out.i'll keep going with 'em.getting a good year (and i start my truck,my god i have no clue how many times in one day.a solid 30 probably) so i suppose that's a lot of cranking, which for a normal driving they would probably last 5-10 years i dunno.still starts the truck up within a second or two even in the low digits.i just don't want it to frig up my flywheel though.should swap it out.since it's so good though id could just have its throw out wheel there replaced or whatever, but they'll just swap it for free.only heard it frig up about 10 times so far though.i wonder if it's a missing tooth on the flywheel it's so rare.hmm.
