F-350 Help.

Hello I'm new to this site and am currently interested in this 93' F-350 Crew Cab, It has a 460 V8 and 220,000miles. It seems to be in great shape the problem is he says in the winter unless its near a heater it will not start. I don't know if this a small or big problem? Any help would be great! Thank you

First welcome to FTE.

Secondly you'll get better answers in the section for that generation of truck 1987 - 1996 F150 & Larger F-Series Trucks - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

Last, shouldn't be to hard to solve, all depends on why it won't start.

depends on the price you can get it for whether it is worth it or not. at 220k miles, unless it was already rebuilt, that engine is on it's last legs.

He wants $2000 and the engine was rebuilt 2 or 3 years ago. I'm just on budget and don't know if this purchase is cost effective? I probably could get the truck between $1500 to $1700. He said he wakes up in the morning and honestly puts a heater next too it for 45mins. I can only spend $2500 max with e/s and licensing all together. Thank you for the reply

well the price is not that bad then.
one thing to remember being on a fixed budget: that this is going to be a gas hog, it will only get around 10-12 mpg on its best day.
probably closer to 8-10 mpg combined in town and highway driving.
