Over here in Montana it is a wee bit chilly........
-14°C.......wind chill down to -20°C......

We've had it pretty good here so far, have about 5" of snow on the ground but very mild so far and sunny the last couple days, hope it lasts through the winter.

 

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Temp seems to be going the wrong way at the moment. Was down to 20°, climbed to 26° and has now retreated to 25.9. We are under a Freezing Rain Advisory until noon but haven't seen any here yet, just frost.

 

Freezing Rain is such "fun" stuff..........NOT

Good excuse to toss a log on the fire and stay put......

 

We woke up to fog this morning but it quickly disappeared once the sun came up.

 

I'll have to settle for a 40# bag of pellets, but I'm thinking that might be a good idea. We are starting to get a few passing showers of the stuff, but not enough to reach the "honorable mention" status yet.


The unfortunate part is that I have got to get into town. They have once again screwed up dad's death certificate so I need to try and get that corrected. I can't get dads SGLI claim submitted for mother without it and they won't accept an incorrect death certificate.
I can't for the life of me understand why these idiots have such a hard time with that, especially after I have drawn a picture for them twice now. They are down from 13 errors to just 1.
The bad thing is that the remaining error is a "new error" and was just about the only thing they had right to start with. They have now changed it to an incorrect entry. For some reason, after they finally got all of the original errors corrected, they have changed his POB to not only the wrong city, but the wrong state as well. I'm not sure if it is the funeral home or Oregon Health Authority, Vital Records idiots.

 

We still have most of our snow.......it did warm up enough today to make the snowy roads slick on top. Supposed to warm up more tomorrow...maybe some of this will melt.
Finished up the repairs and maintenance on the wife's car.....fire in the shop sure felt good.
Glad everyone made it through Monday.

Good luck with that, Jim....sounds like a royal PITA.........you would think they could get it right......
