Nope. We've got half the roofing off and about a third of the sheeting...
Yup. Take all the money from company's and the rich and give it to all the low lifes. Sure, that will work...
This is not the country I fought a war for.........

Look at income tax history... 1950-1976, what was unemployment like then when taxes on the actual upper class was at an all time high.
Great depression, low taxes on the upper, higher lower and look at that, high unemployment and all sorts of issues.

Don, I did not say give it to the poor. I should have been clear and say that it should be used for benevolent purposes such as roadways, farm tax breaks, military, the like.

"I just may be insane, but the petty squabbles your generation has is foolish. But I do not vote, I do not feel that I have earned that right just yet."
"petty squabbles" my ***! "My" generations "squabbles" is what allowed you to live free in this country! If all "your" generation feels like you do, God help us all!
Thank you for not voting.....

Petty squabbles of "our generation"?
Why because the US is becoming like the USSR?
Going with the flow and not arguing ends up with YOU in a concentration camp.

They are petty squabbles, they have their use to content the average joe.
I beleive that modern day politics and media are a way to distract from real issues.
How many people will actually find out AND care about the possible military pension cuts? Only a small portion, hurts to say that as someone who is going into the military.
EDIT: Dave, were you in the USSR during that time period? With as many friends as I have in the community that came from there, knowing folks who came here to escape it. We have it pretty dam well.
And, goint with the flow? Gee.... I wonder... Considering how far away my generation is from modern day politics in terms of opinion, I think if we were to be rallied, a lot would change.
Don, I am not reffering to what happened in the past, but current day quarrels. It seems that most of my generation does not agree with current politics, and wants change but knows that the baby boomers have a significant advantage, age and money. No one listens to the young pups who will soon lead this country.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 44.2, light rain showers earlier, but has cleared off for the moment. Big gray nasty stuff all around us so it probably will try to drown us in the not so distant future but hoping it holds off for a few hours. Have a big hole to get dug.
Had a long rough night last night, didn't get home until after midnight. We lost Jake, our 32 year old gelding. Had the vet out, but it didn't end well. So everyone is pretty upset around here, especially mother.
Mom's birthday today, so we are going to take her out for dinner this evening.
Have a good day everyone. Things to get done this morning.

Dustin, you are going to get a rude awakening if you do decide to take the oath.
Your mindset does not sound compatible with military life.

I will indeed be taking the oath soon, a partial if I am accepted for Army Reserve Officer Training Corps.
Besides you folk and a few others, almsot every military personnel member I have spoken with has understood my point and agreed on some points. perhaps I did a better job explaining what I meant and my points.
If the drills I went on with the Or. Army Nat. Guard are an indication of anything (probably not), then I almost cannot wait to join.

.... if I am accepted for Army Reserve Officer Training Core.
And they "soon" will be "leading" our country.
I never thought I'd be glad that I'll be dead "soon".
I'm so done!
