It's Jan.25th................we would be damn fools to think spring is here.
Much better chance a huge low pressure system is building over Siberia, and getting ready to head across the Pacific.

the POS'S: yes, perhaps
8mpg: thats the fun of being young with minimal expenses. I like to hear two things when I stomp on the accelerator (when I feel like burning money (not as often as you might think!)): 1: cha-ching! 2: a good throaty "VROOM" // it means i'm doing something right in my life (at least thats how I think anyhow)...
And, if I go straight to college on a AROTC scholarship to U of P, the only expenses im left with are: Vehicle, food, personal BS. maybe some other stuff but not much, unless I have been lied to by AROTC.
and no, a boot dryer with a balloon over the intake fan does not substitute for the sound of a V8.

Not going too bad. BBQ elk burgers should be ready in a few and with a root beer float, we'll be in 7th heaven!

Sounds good! Although I just had my grandmother's homemade chicken soup with biscuits, plus a pie afterwards.

Hub?????
How about hubs? After removing the drivers side and before I went to the parts house to pick up a new assembly I decided to check the passenger side. Ugh! No where near as bad but starting to fail.
So.... Since this isn't my first rodeo in this particular scenario it is quite an easy job. The last time I replaced the bearings I re-used the studs that mount the assembly to the axle housing. This time I just ordered new studs. Well worth the extra $$$.
Parts won't all be here until Tuesday afternoon (they only had one bearing assembly and none of the stud kits).

REAL good call on the new studs, as anyone who has attempted a re-use has found out for themselves!
Thank goodness it wasn't a U-joint, but you would have gone through almost as much work as you already have, except for the stub-shaft seals (and a chance to mess up the inner differential seal)!
