Below freezing all day......dropped to 14 now....Today I trimmed up some more logs, need to sharpen my chain before I cut anymore. Will try to drag some of them out tomorrow hopefully.
Due to Jim's earlier report, I did not build a fire.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 27.2, clear, sunny and frosty.
Neither my wife nor I went to jail. MIL was a little snotty when we first arrived and I think a lot of that was because her niece-in-law & POA appointee was there. My wife started to loose it once, making a comment to all in general, but with a pointed edge directed at her cousins secrecy and sneaking around behind our backs, but regained composure before saying anything too much.
They are supposedly going to review the doses of Hydrocodone, saying that her use was like a roller coaster and not consistent. They went on the defensive right away saying that they only bring her a pill when she requests it as long as it is within the guidelines of the "1 every 4 to 6 hours or as needed for pain" Rx instructions. Yet, less than a week ago a nurse told us she got regular meds 3 times a day.
The head nurse says she sometimes only needs 1 pill on one day and 3 pills on other days. The subject got changed rapidly when I pointed out that the roller coaster was pretty consistent at 90+ pills per month for 4 months in a row (that we have records for) and I mentioned that if there are days of 1 pill or no pills then the documented number Rx refills and total number of pills don't add up...
They also brought up the MIL not using her alert button. She says she does. We pointed out that we were in her room this morning when she pushed the button 3 times and after 20 minutes, no one had responded to the room...seems that may have ended the meeting. ACLC Director said he would check her alert button and then wanted to talk to my wife's Cousin alone in his office. This didn't sit well at all (in short pissed us off), and since he seemed to be ending the meeting with us, we took my MIL back to her room and left.
To be honest we are not sure why the meeting had to be held on such short notice or what was accomplished, although we have some suspicions about some additional things going on behind our backs. They apparently did not include us in those conversations.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Happy New Year to everyone a bit in advance.
The stove that heats our house had failure today. The error code coming up said it was an exhaust gas temp sensor. Nearest repair part was in Salem 35 miles from home and the store closed at 1400 not giving me anytime to cool the stove down and pull the insert out and do some trouble shooting. So I took off and spent $78 on the part.
Stove is now torn apart in the front room so I have to get it put back together. After I got the insert out, I decided it was also time for a mid season dust off. Just now getting everything vacuumed and cleaned off and back together.
Found a loose/bad connection on what I believe is one of the ground wires. Got that cleaned up, put a new connector on the end and connected it back up. Now I have no error codes and the diagnostic position on the control panel tests clean.
So, being a cheap skate, I'm going to get it back in and run it to confirm that the sensor is in fact bad and it wasn't that bad wire. If everything works, I can take the $78 part back. If it doesn't work, I cool the stove off and spend 20 minutes replacing the sensor.
Back to the grind stone. The goal is to have the house heated up by the time my wife gets home in order to maintain the peace and tranquility of the new year.
