After some lunch, I'm heading back out to play with the truck some more. If the Jeep owner is free to help out, I may flip the truck around and start on the rear axle...

Good luck with your '87 Dave I'm having issues with a '77 currently

Thanks for the offer to pick up on that C list deal, I'll pass, I sent the guy a note.
Thank you for considering me, and keep that as an option in the future.

I had my highboy running decent (not driving) this past summer more than it had run in the last 7 years...I think that is what did it though. I did drain & bypass the tank and ran it from a gas can but the gunk was in the carb also, and I stirred it up then let it sit another 6 months.

Not complaining, I welcome & accept the challenge of awakening my neglected/dormant old truck

Thank you! It's starting to look how I envisioned but still a lot to do though.

I think the price sounds real fair for a winch bumper especially if its even more stout than the warn bumpers. I'd agree it (the warn) could be improved upon...I can grab a hold of the corner and flex it quite a bit even with the outer supports.

Good day everybody! It's cold and rainy today in my world

Misfire turned out to be a bad wire.

I've got to pull the upper intake off again because i have a fuel leak under there somewhere. Didn't catch it earlier today, but I sure could smell it this time.

Sigh - I needed to revisit the EGR tube connections and change the EGR valve anyhow so I guess I have no excuse to bellyache...

Breathing treatment time - working on the truck is done for the day....

Afternoon All!

Just in for lunch.

I finally got the bumper to cooperate with me. I'll do one last wet sand with 1500 before I start to lay the color.

In between letting stuff dry, I did some more cleaning and painting on EQ. It's starting to really look good. I hope to have the new engine in it this week. Possibly even have the graphics on it? I guess we'll see what happens.

Out doing some errands, picking up goodies that I've found on "The List".
I'm still getting Christmas stuff (yeah I know) but I think we've hit this next years goal of 10k lights, and snagged two 9' artificial trees that will go out in the front yard with the others.
Maybe one day I'll do something truck related

Looking good Alan. That paint appears to have more life in it than I thought. We got groceries and a glass beading cabinet, I'll pick up the sandblaster in the next week or so. We get to play with some Harley parts this winter for a mild customizing of a Heritage.

Chip. It looks good in the pictures, but if you get close to it, you can see it's had a hard life.

I got the Focus sprayed, new headlights in EQ and the headlight bezels sprayed with some stainless steel spray paint. It looks even better. No more pictures until the new graphics are on it.

I wish I had seen your post before I went to my storage unit today. I would have checked to see if mine had those braces. I 'm sure it does since I bought it new and installed it myself. It was on my Chevy, so maybe didn't have those braces. I don't remember, it's been a long time since I have seen it.
