What's the latest on door cracks?
Look at the door post just above the radius on the lower rear corner of the window, where the rubber seal starts to narrow, if there's a crack you should be able to see it(it'll look like someone took a saw and started cutting into the edge of the metal) Sometimes the cracks are small and just look like a flaw in the paint but most are bigger and easy to spot. I read somewhere that Ford corrected the problem midway through the 2000 year, so if the truck your looking at was built later in 2000 it might not have that problem. Also, look at both doors, the drivers side is usually the first to get one,but the passenger door will get them also.

Sounds like if it’s out of the 5-year corrosion you will have to pay. If you are still in the 3/36k bumper to bumper then Ford will pay. It sounds like if its in-between you will have a fight on your hands. My dealer had the typical “I have never seen or heard of that happening before” attitude and wouldn’t even look to see if there was a TSB out for it.
