Looking for better fog lights in the factory mount
I don't think the factory fog lights provide any vision benefit. I have a pair of Hella 500's on a motorcycle that blow them away. I'm looking for something that will greatly out perform the factory lights. I like the low fog light pattern because it works well in snow storms. Any suggestions that will bolt right in?
I ran across these but they only have 1W led's...

I swapped my stock fog lamp bulbs for Putco 250011 led lamps and I like them. They are quite a bit brighter than the oem halogens but the beam is really spread out.
Something I personally like in a fog lamp but some folks don't care for the look.
I can see the light over the headlamp low beams. They were only about $50

Ok. I've done the following:
Took out the 40w OEM offerings, replaced with Putco LEDs. They looked brighter, but the light distribution was crap. Took them out 3 weeks later and sold them on another forum.
Tried two different sets of halogens, and settled on 45w Philips Crystal Vision Ultras. They are a whiter halogen, but still not a match for OEM HIDs.
I'm currently on the waiting list for Morimoto LED fogs from TheRetrofitSource through RaptorRetrofit. The Morimoto XB LED fogs are very similar to the 6146 JW Speaker fogs currently on sale. The light distribution is projected with a nice defined cutoff and is VERY wide. The XB fogs should retail for just under $200.
Rigid Industries has just released a DOT compliant Dually fog lights. They have shields on them that prevent scatter. They are going to be a few hundred at least.
I'd save the coin and wait for Morimoto fogs.

They have the JWSpeaker LED's that bolt right in (JW Speaker makes the Harley Davidson branded lights for Harley... it's the same exact light)
TRS is also developing their own Morimoto LED drop in.... You can search all over F150forum and HIDplanet and see the difference in stock beam vs the true engineered LED beam... THe difference is amazing!!!
I am a little disappointed in my '12's fog lights. I put yellow bulbs in mine but even with aiming there isn't enough light where there needs to be light. I will be ordering the JWSpeakers or the Mori's (probably the Morimotos when they are fully released) when I do my Dinosaur to HID retrofit.

I installed a set of Amber HID's for the fog lights. If you want to see better in the snow/fog/rain, this is your answer! I drive/tow thru some real bad weather.

That's exactly what I use fog lights for...heavy snow in the mountains. That kit is cheaper than the whole light that I put a link up for. Does it have a true fog light pattern? I mean, does it keep the light down low so that it doesn't illuminate and reflect off the snow at eye level?
This is the first season I ran them, and I've been extremely happy with them. They are pretty good at keeping the light down where it should be. As in any HID, in a non HID housing, there IS some reflection. It's more so to the "sides". I have even adjusted my fog lights up a bit, to help the head lights and I have OEM HID's.
I have been in 0 visibility snow storms at night dragging my snowmobile trailer up north, and have been able to see much better due to these. I highly recommend them for that. I wish I would have been able to take a picture during these times, but I don't have the ***** for that!

Are those pictures with both the headlights and fog lights on? I also have the factory HID headlights on my 2013 F150 FX4, they are really nice but the pattern is too narrow. I can't see the critters in the ditches and I can't see around the corners of mountain roads at night. Are those fog lights putting out a good wide pattern?
