I would think that if you run into too much trouble with the shaft size that you could get the steering arm as well.

Ditto 1970 before serial number G90,001.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 1 = 800-543-4959.

btw: You might give Marty a call at SoCal Truck Wrecking (you know where they are from your days as a LASD...323-587-3144) and see if he has anything.

Alas green sales had a manual box and had it mislabeled as power
and I got quoted two different prices, which didn't feel right... guess I'll rebuild my manual box and go on the search for a power steering one....
first quote ... first salesperson was 493... second..." better expert" was 650... there may have been a good explanation for the difference but it always feels shady when some person over the phone does that to you

Hi All

Based upon Bill providing a factory oem number I did some more research and found that it crosses over to TRW/Ross steering gear

Ford C7TZ-3504-S

TRW /Ross HF54049... or HF54001 ( I think the first number is correct by looking at the picture)

SKU 40328
I still havent found one... the internet sources list them but when I call.. no luck.. so the hunt is on

I believe this is the picture of the box

The interchange numbers were here>>>>>
Heavy Duty Steering Gear Interchange

Thank you bill.. for the bright blue print!

The box looks like my later 73-79 box .. but I tried that one and it does not fit properly.. so I assume the later boxes are different
