huh alrighty. I think what ill do is just get some 2 inch blocks from the junk yard and put them on top of the 4 inchers and take out them 2 extra leaf springs and give it a try. because i would really like to have this truck ride alitttle softer too

And heres what i have now u can see the add a leaf and the helper leaf thats supose to be up top

do not stack blocks!! that is very dangerous.
either single block, or spring lift.

I can't see the add-a-leafs ends. they are supposed to go in the pack so the length coincide with the stock leafs

the stock ford blocks are made of cast iron, so once i but everything in straight im going to weld the blocks together with a very fat hot weld. But the add a leaf i put a green dot and the helper leaf i put a red dot. I measured it all out and if i take those two out im really only adding about 1 inch of block beings that the leafs together are adding over an inch

If you take the bottom 2 leaves out UI think it is going to ride terrible. Don't forget, you have a 1 ton 4 door truck, It is not a light half ton that doesnt need springs

The green mark is the add a leaf, stay way from blocks, never stack, factory blocks are cast, never weld right. Blocks add alot of axle wrap, rear lift springs from JC Whitney, made by procomp are only $250 with shipping thats there 4 or 6 inch lift why not do it the right way, an add a leaf alone is only going to give you 1-1/2, why bother, do the springs, keep the over load leaf, most people throw them away, they make a drop down kit for the stops. Just one mans opinion. Good Luck.

yeah the red isnt a add a leaf thats the helper spring or over load leaf that they put on the bottom. And yep i plan on keeping it and putting back where it belongs. So i think ill do is alittle of both, ill take the over load leaf and put it back on top where its suppose to be and geta 5 inch block. because the truck rides level right now and id like to have the rear end alittle higher because i do tow with this truck. even tho the sucker only sags like an inch with a 8k pound trailer or 10 bails of hay
