Hey there fellas. I'm a bit stumped and need some advice. My little brother just picked up a 98 f150 lariat 4.6 4x4. Got it for the right price, but the engine seems to have a miss and the whole truck shakes at idle. When you put it in gear, it takes a good two seconds to drop in, and it in general feels laggy. It threw a code a week ago for a lean bank. New 02 sensors and exhaust manifold gaskets repaired that quickly. However, it still isn't doing what it should. After driving it tonight, I was thinking torque converter. It feels like driving a manual with the clutch pushed in half way. Any thoughts? Anybody have this issue? How can I test this?
