No cruise control. ...big red question # 1

The cruise control does not work. Checked the fuse but not sure where to go from there.

Cruise Control self test

You can start with this thread. I couldn't get the self test to initiate. My problem was the plug connector on the brake pressure sensor on the master cylinder.

Just to throw out known causes I had a bad brake pedal switch, the one at the top of the brake pedal arm that wouldn't let mine work. It has more than one set of contacts because the brake lights did work.

Check wires on steering column. Remove upper and lower covers and I had a wire broken above the ignition. I dont know the name of it could be clockspring......determined wire broke due to steering turning many many many times.

Ok so to update everyone. The recall has been done. (Blue tag on the wires) I tried to do the self diagnostics but there was no response whatsoever but I don't think the indicator light works. It doesn't light up when everything else does when you turn it to run. I took it to a mechanic friend with a fancy smancy snap on scanner. The scanner registered all the buttons as they were pushed and all of the switches (brake, clutch....) checked out ok. It also discovered a circuit fault in the intake temperature sensor but I can't imagine that that would affect the cc.
