I'd be going crazy about now, waiting on a shipper. I've always retrieved my own old wrecks and hauled them home. AZ twice, OR, ND, VA, MN, and WI. The road trip was more than half the fun. But I do understand that $1200 coffee table has to get done. Stu

I still think we should do a relay..... Havi to Willowbilly to me. You guys split the 1200.00 and I guess my 1/3 pays nothing......Kinda like the pony express without the horses.

Stu, ask my wife if I'm going crazy...... PM me and I'll give you her cell # To be truthful, she mentioned today that maybe I should just drive out and pick it up. The fuel factors out to about 550 I think...

Don't think it's too heavy. Just a big tin can. Maybe 4000tops. Weeks weather Spokane/Billings/ St Cloud. Near zero precip, temps in Billings 63 tomorrow. 7 day forecast above freezing entire route, Later this week 10percent chance precip in Mn. My trailer is about 60 miles North after I get off ferry. Both the pinion seal and the rear transfer seal leak in my 92, but they been like that a long time. I will give it some thought today. Maybe some kind of relay? And Tinman is is that loop too, huh Scott?

My favorite trailer to pull is kinda light duty, I figure 4500# load is right at the axle/tire rating. 3000# axles and the trailer weighs 1800 or so but I built it with the wheels a little further back so the truck carries more.

I have to work some this morning, but this is starting to gel a bit. I could be heading East tonight. I'm thinking I'd need to buy some of those 'sunglasses'. We don't need them where I live. I will try to find the weight, if it could work, we could meet somewhere. Stu, you really got me going with your list of expeditions.......... Edit: Found this '53-'56 8' ford panel. Curb weight 3560 lbs. Mine is called a 9'....

Excellent info Stu. Thanks! I'm gonna look at ferry schedule for today and go get my trailer up north. Then I hope I will have more info about my possible trip Ravin packed up my pills in those little monday-friday plastic box like old people have and kissed me goodbye JIC I head south to interstate 90 and turn left towards Spokane and points east. I guess I need to make sure I don't get passed in the other direction by a Russian trucker with a derelict one ton panel in tow......

Safe travels my friend. Do you have anybody riding shotgun to switch off with at the wheel? Stu

Nobody so far. My 20 yo son lives near where I have to pick up my trailer. He might be coerced. He's a good driver and a night owl, so he would be good. But alas, he is going through some kind of 'I have no parents ' stage. I'm not holding my breath at this moment. I am still on a sort of 'fact finding mission'. I should have the trailer hooked up by late afternoon, maybe 3 and head down the freeway. As you can see I am being non-commital at this point. Like father like son.....

If you do it solo it just means taking more time. I've done some as "burn and turns" with buddies swapping time at the wheel, but on solo trips have just had my yellow girlfriend along. But she can't reach the gas, clutch, and brake. Stu

Totally winging it at this point. Head to ferry soon. My cell # is " three 6 zero three 1 seven eight zero 5 one" if anyone want to reach me. I don't email or FTE too well on the road, but could check on my phone. My kids say this is possible on an I phone. ??? . But then again I might be home in bed tonight. Haven't been in touch with the family I left my trailer with. We delivered a kubota tractor we sold them on CL the night before my surgery. They siad we could leave it there til we had a chance to come get it. That was mid November and I only have the son's email address because he speaks english and he hasn't called yet confirming directions to their house or address. We only went there once and it was dark and pouring rain. I'm going up there and try to find it anyways. Let's hope the kid calls and they haven't sold it....
