Coolant leak after oil/EGR cooler

Guys,

I just got my truck back from Ford - EGR (bulletproof) and oil cooler replaced. There is now a coolant leak dripping down the backside of the engine passenger side. Blue hose seems dry but I can see some coolant under it in the valley. It is a steady drip. I am bringing it back to Ford. Any ideas - blue hose seems to be on good. It is hard to see and tell without ripping it apart.

I really wanted to do this myself, but with the holidays and an upcoming trip, I did not want to rush myself. Anyway, pretty annoyed right now

Could be the donut under the intake manifold or a heater valve

When I did that work in July that blue hose wanted to leak
just a tiny bit. So I gave it a little wiggle and BINGO.
Has not leaked sense.

I did try to wiggle the blue hose - it was dry - no coolant on my fingers - but I could not get it to budge (and I did not want to try too hard since Ford really needs to make sure it is nothing else).

Was it also dry at the outlet on the cooler housing
where that blue hoes connects at?

I'm not sure b/c there was a little puddle down below and it was hard to reach my fingers back there. I think that is where is it coming from. I don't think it is any heater hoses - they all look good and dry. It made a 12" puddle on my driveway so it is not a trivial leak. I dropped it off for Ford to look at it. I'll let you know what it turns out to be.

I bought all the parts for this and brought them in so I know it is not an old gasket problem.

If it is not a gasket problem there would be no leak.

Yeah, I know - what I meant was an "old" gasket problem - reusing something that should have been replaced. I bought new seals and gaskets for everything that came off. I think this is more of an install problem than a gasket failure.

Follow-up - It was the back of the blue hose - it was not perfectly right at the EGR cooler end. In summary, Sean you were right.

The Ford diesel tech that did it has 30+ yrs experience - said they like to leak.

I did that with mine. I had the system under a vacuum
and it just would not hold. So I started poking around and
heard a noise at the blue hose. Gave it a little wiggle and
twist and the vacuum quit dropping and held. So I then put
some pressure on it and let it sit. No drop so I was happy.
