Stan's the Man for Window Regulator Gear Plugs!

Bought some Dorman 74410 window regulator gear plugs from O'Reilly's today to finally fix the rear tailgate window in my '95 Bronco. They didn't fit. The plugs were too large a diameter for the metal gear to fit into the nylon gear with the plugs in place.

Remembered that in February of this year I had bought some delrin window regulator gear plugs from carguy8t8 aka Stanley Miller. Found them in the console and guess what? They fit. They fit great. There is no slop. They don't fit too tight. They fit perfectly. So I ordered two more sets for the front door windows. Here's the ebay description and link:

Ford Lincoln Mercury Power Window Regulator Motor Repair Kit Plugs & Gear Grease

Also guess what? They appear to be better than the Dorman's. After looking at the Dorman's which appear to be molded plastic, Stan's appear to be cut from delrin round bar stock. Which after reading what Stan says, are probably also better:

This is the highest quality repair kit you will find for the do-it-your-self-er to do a basic rebuild of the gear assembly in your Ford, Lincoln, Mercury power window motor. If your motor spins but does not open the window, opens the window partially, or keeps running with a clunking noise after it has opened or closed then this kit is what you need. If you need to repair two or more motors then please select the quantity that you need above.

This kit includes 3 new precision machined Delrin torque pins. These torque pins are the best you can buy because they are Made in the USA and precision machined +/- .001" for even torque spread around the entire gear. These Delrin pins will not deteriorate and break up over time like the OEM and replacement gel pins that most others are selling.

Most power window motors fail because of the OEM torque pins failing and turning into ground up bits inside the gear. This causes the gear to slip on the drive shaft.

Finally, at minute 5:50 is a great video of installing the gear plugs into the gear (although I did the tailgate, the window regulators are the same). ( Also, the front door panel removal has more screws on a 1995 Bronco and is different than the earlier year Bronco shown in the video):
