I need a random patch piece

this is on my left front fender on my 56 ford, its blown out, has lead, brass and plastic filler in it and I think it would be easier to just cut out and patch a piece in, does any one have trashed fender with this part still good that I could get? I am located near sacramento, but I was thinking it would fit good in a medium flat rate usps box

I am not sure how skilled you are with a welder and sheetmetal but when I look at that fender I see a repair job not a patch. I had some fenders that would qualify as donors but they have since gone to greener pastures. Good luck...

Still looking for a patch, I don't know if I would consider myself skilled but I think it would be easier to patch it, the rounded part is all gone so I would have to recreate it, then getting the flat part and the step down right.......

If I had to try to save it maybe I could bend a piece of metal conduit to match the contour and weld it in as the lip.

Maybe its karma, I threw some roached hammered to crap fenders away 5 years ago, I probably could of salvaged the patch from them lol.

That's the way it always works...if you think you will never need something and then throw it away then you will need it within a week after it is gone.

You could always make a wood and/or metal die and either press form or hammer form the patch. It is possible to form fairly complex pieces. Doesn't seem like it should be that hard to find a roached out fender to cut it from tho. I wouldn't use conduit tho (first issue is it's galvanized). It's in the middle of the biggest holiday season of the year, you might want to bump your request up after the 1st more likely to get response. Also a better topic title might help: "53-56 front fender section needed for patch" Would better catch the attention of someone with what you need when they are skimming all the topics on here. Your request is far from a random piece, topic sounds like you just want a piece of sheetmetal from anywhere.
Have you tried contacting Kevin: bigwin56f100 on here? He is a major 53-56 used parts guy.
