Very sharp!! One question, how close is your exhaust to the bag? I'm not sure how hot that pipe will get, but I wonder if the temps might be an issue if your pipe shifted somehow and was riding on the bag...

The truck looks great Stefan! That's a sharp looking rig. I'm wondering too if there might be a way to put some "slack" in the ride control valves so they wouldn't blow off as much air. I guess it's something you can live with if need be. Do you have an automatic purge valve on the tank you're using so it doesn't collect moisture? I'd be a little concerned about that in hot, humid weather with as much as the compressor is running.

Nice job.
I absolutely love to see someone putting so much hard work into these older trucks and keep them on the road. Around here an old truck is '05 or '06 and there's not much left of them due to rust.

thank you for the compliments.
My Goal is to keep the Truck for a long time. Eventually i plan on installing a new engine and transmission. but this will be next year

as for the ride valve, there is not much i can do. i already have an extended arm on each valve, which requires a good amount of travel, before the valve adjust the air in the bags. An alternative would have been installing a single ride height valve and tie both rear bags together.
I believe the next job would be installing an engine drive compressor. Anybody got a write up on that ?

The exhaust has 2” clearance to the bag. Does anybody know, how hot the exhaust gets back there ? if worst case, i might have to heat wrap the pipe ?

well, should get my front bags this week.. Ill post more then.

Nice work Stefan. Looks great! Here is the link I'm following to do my on board air. I see no pics are in it anymore. You could send TJ a PM and see if he can get you some. I moved my batteries to the passengers side frame rail.

Has anybody managed to install an engine driven air compressor without re locating the batteries? I haven't realy looked yet, as to how much space I need?

It looks great sir!
2" clearance at the tail pipe? That should be plenty IMO .most of the heat energy is well spent twenty feet from the engine.

Does the tank drain pressure over night? Maybe just a leak more than anything. Ten mins frequency isn't terrible but could be better . if its tight everywhere I would just roll with it honestly.

Can't you just bypass the valves for day to day driving and use them just for towing?
I don't see any reason why they would have to constantly be adjusting air pressure. Set at 15 psi (or whatever works) and leave them alone.
Unless there's a leak somewhere.

I loose about 5psi in 12 hrs .. So that is not too bad. Still gonna try to find it though. As for the ride valve , they are connected to the axle mount . I believe the reason the valve is working is due to the fact I run low air pressure , which lets the suspension travel . I solution would be possible a 4 way solenoid on each bag, so I can either run with or without load leveler and also be able to dump the air ..

I don't think I would tie both bags together. I would think as the truck rolls it would push air out of one and put it in the other. Guess you could put a check valve in there though. Anyway tuck looks really good. I bet it won't take you long to work out the kinks in it and have a nice ride.

you can get different height control valves that react slower to changes in ride height. this will reduce the amount of air you go through.
Type CR Controlled Response Height Control Valve - Haldex
