In the Picture below (A) is the left over sediments from my speedogear.. Still trying to figure out which one I had to replace.

Figure (B) Shows the tailshaft bearing and seal for my transmission. The tailshaft housing had to be replaced due to being warped, it seems the gas from the front gas tank burned the hottest... Ive had to do a very detailed clean up on the transmission.

This engine is starting to come together..Still missing a few details, overall its getting there!

Corner shot

Back to sleep,

Anyone who has been following this thread, what is your input on the speedogear incident.. What would happen if I use the incorrect speedogear? Would the only issue be speed sensing giving false reads?

Yeah, your speedometer would be off. I know the one in my AOD has been the wrong one for as long as I have owned the truck. Just got used to knowing how fast I was really going.

This is going to be a challenging task. I will be putting it into a new truck, with a 9 inch rear at 3.53 I believe 31 spline... I hope this is the correct info Im providing

I Figured Id post a couple progression pictures to this project...

These wires were cut to give it the custom look, I didn't want them super tight due to obvious reasons

This is my favorite picture, keep in mind all the accessories in the front HAVE to be replaced... lol

No Actual paint left on the body... When I ripped the carpet out there was a bit on the passenger side floor board.

Changed the rear brakes today, Shes getting there slowly...

Im going to need help identifying my rear end guys, this is what I got... I believe the tag Reads "WD R - 2L2R" "55 8 8S814A" I would like to buy a rear end to handle the engine or am I wrong and it isn't necessary to change from stock?

WDR-D made by Ford; 3.55:1 ratio; 8.8" ring gear; manufactured Nov 24, 1982 (2L24)

The "3" in the 3.55 is hidden by the grease and bolt; the 8.8 is well-spaced out.
S814A is the plant code.

This is amazing news!! I have a whole rear end kit I bought for my 86 that I never installed, this gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, I assumed I had a 9 inch rear since it was an F100. Does the teeth on the differential matter? How many teeth is my gear?
