I have limited tools and my new Power Stop rotors and Hawk ceramic pads just arrived. I've done plenty of brake jobs but not on this truck. If someone can tell me what size and style the caliper bolts are it would help. Are they Allen or Torx or regular hex head?

 

I just crawled under the truck and the caliper bolts are regular hex head. That's great because I have the tools I need.

Next time I post I should have nice new front brakes. The oem ones are warped and I don't want to have them turned just so they can warp again.

 

It was a 13mm hex head on the calipers, and 21mm hex head on the caliper brackets.

 

When I read your first post I thought that you were having trouble getting a torx bit to work and thought to myself, Oh gosh... Ford went the way of those crazy Germans with that triple square bit. Because everybody has one of those! Nice to hear it was still a hex bolt.

 

Yes, I was quite surprised to see normal hex head bolts used.
