transmission swap

Would a automatic transmission out of a 1988 with a 302 be able to go in a 1986 with a 351

yes and no. the transmission will bolt up. using the correct flexplate is a must and wouldn't be transferable from 302 to a 351w.

What trans are we talking about from the 88 and what is in the 86 currently?
