I have a 2004 F-250 FX4 6.0L Turbo diesel Automatic Transmission. There seems to be 2 wts for 5th wheel/gooseneck max tow wt. And really on the table there is nothing for the 250 turbo diesel just for the 350. Does anyone have any information? According to the table it should be 12,700 BUT then there is an asterisk that then says 10,400? and again there is nothing for the 250 turbo diesel...just the 350. Any guidance. I am in the process of getting a new gooseneck horse trailer with living quarters and at the moment it looks like my "big" truck will not be able to handle anything over 10,500. thanks!

Otherwise, you need to list your chassis/can style and your differential ratio.

You're factory rating for 5th wheel/gooseneck towing is somewhere around 12,500 or 13,000 pounds.

 

Also should be considered that those #s are for new '04.....miles and wear should at least be considered for safeties sake

The truck has only 120K on it and has not been abused at all. It is still is great haul condition and is a powder puff Always serviced on time. Only issue every had was with the Damn ERG or EGR or whatever that darn cooler was called that all the 6.0 folks had issues with. Put an override system in it and it has be fine ever since. Thanks!
