1950 F100 Flathead 6 Fuel Pump questions

My fuel pump is leaking pretty bad. I tried checking the glass bowl and I don't think the leak is there, nor does it appear to be in the fuel lines. So I thought I would take it off, inspect and probably replace it. Now the real question, how do you get that thing out of there? I can't get a wrench or a socket on it. Anybody have any tricks? I don't want to dissemble other parts to get there.

I think I used a 6 " extension and a wobble socket on mine. Kind of a pain since it's so far down there, with the fat fenders and all.

I had the same issue with mine, the gang here said remove the access panel on the inner fender. It worked but getting that access panel off is a real pain

Ed nailed it. Remove the wheel and access panel for a straight shot at the fuel pump.
