Thought I would provide an update from my original post and pictures on December 28 (this thread). Front bumper straightened by the dealer (left there for 2 hours); Revtek Suspension 2" level kit installed and FX4 decal removed. Right at 1,000 miles and love this truck!

Amazing looking trucks! One question though. Why do many of you opt for. A 5.5 foot bed? Aside from Easier parking I don't even know why they are made.

I have no need for a longer bed.

What's up with the tailgates? In prior years, from my memory only the Platinum had the tailgate applique. The King Ranch in post 16 has the tailgate applique and appears that it has the King Ranch Logo on it. The pic of the King Ranch in post 43 does not.

I know they've really switched up the packages, where FX4 is not a body style of it's own, it's a package you can add to most of the models, but I thought King Ranch was still it's own body style - not sure why there would be two different tailgates.

I don't like the new applique with the drop down on each side, but still interesting that the one King Ranch seems to have one and one doesn't. Maybe part of a chrome package?

2015 - F150 Lariat SCREW Eboost, max pay, max tow.
I ordered the turck in late Oct, was given an original delivery date of mid-Feb. About 3 weeks ago, I was advised by dealer that it was being delayed till end Feb, early Mar. I was advised last night, that it is now being delayed till late April, early May. Problem is, I need to have the trailer hitch installed, and pickup the trailer first week of May. Dealer advises that they will absolutely make this date, but, what level of confidence am i suppose to have when they already missed two.

As an asside, they are having difficulties stamping some of the aluminum parts. Considerable number of them are being discarded as scrap.

I was told by a Ford source that they are only in limited production.

feel like I am between a rock and a hard place.

That's a terrible shame, I hope they make your date.
Also hope they get the KC plant up and running soon so they can start rolling these trucks out in greater numbers. They are still pretty scarce around here, and I know lots of guys would love to walk into a dealer and put money down.
Ordering from the factory isn't as common for some reason. Guys like to drive away in the truck the same day.

Yippey!!! Just heard from my dealer that my truck rolled in on a transport. So in keeping with my original post:
Ordered truck on 11/21/14
Order processed on 12/19/14
In production on 1/12/15
Original estimated delivery date was 2/8/15, then moved to 1/31/15, then changed to 2/6/15.
Actual delivery date on 1/30/15

Time speeds back up after you get the truck. Lol Big Red's progression sounds very similar to mine. Don't quite get the story Navydiver is getting. Anyone else hear problems with aluminum stamping?

Congrats, you'll love it! Also great to see an American Manufacturing employee buying his or her own product. Especially a Ford Truck!

Thank you all also, This will be my 5th Ford P/U. My first was a brand new 1979 4x4. #2 was a 2002 Ranger 4x4, #3 2005 150 4x4 Flairside FX4, #4 2013 150 XLT OFF ROAD 4X4 and soon my aluminum beauty. As for buying American and buying Ford its like my Father would always say " You dont bite the hand that feeds you ".

Now here's the real question for you burbansk. Wait to answer until you get some seat time in the new truck. But of these 5, which would you say was/is your favorite and why?

The Best!

That will be a tuff one. My 79 was GREAT, I was young and I had it all fixed up ( Roll bar, Brush bar, Lights, Tires, Rims, etc ). The 400 V-8 would climb right up a wall but she got 9 miles to the gallon. My 2005 FX4 Flairside I fixed up the same way plus put on KING Off-Road shocks. But she only would get 14 MPG. My 2013 3.5L Eco-Boost is a Hot Rod and gets great mileage for a 4x4 Truck and I will miss this one thats why I am getting the 3.5L Eco-Boost again. I will check back later after I have driven the 2015 for a few months but I have the fealing that this will be the best truck I have ever owned. It better because I promised my wife that this would be the last one because we are going to retire soon. But I sure would like to get the 2017 Raptor!
