help with column to C4 linkage
I've been installing a 351W and C4 into my 68 and I'm hooking up the ton of small stuff that has to be done. I put in a 76 column. I have a couple of rods I picked from the wrecker this summer and it looks like one will do nicely but I need the plastic bushing at the end that mates with the column. Are these things a one time use item? I wrecked them in order to get the rods off at the wreckers. I also need the special clip at the other end where if fits to the tranny. Here's some pictures.

Hey there Uni. The bushing is still available from Ford. Part number EOSZ7341B. Yes, they are usually a one time shot. Install it in the lever 1st. Lube 'er insides with your lube of choice and then push rod in to the bushing.
The clip was part number 379620-S100. Discontinued. You want to score one from a JY on your next trip or do you want me to run it on the locators?

Junkyards: This bushing snaps in, can be very hard to remove without breaking it.

Thanks ND and Jefffafa. Did well at the wreckers. It's only about an 8 block walk from the entrance to the older stuff. There was a nice two tone baby blue and medium blue dent that wasn't there in the fall that still had the drive train. Had to walk all the way back to the entrance to talk the fork lift operator into coming to lift it up. I was able to get that metal retainer off the trans linkage. Just need a new plastic grommet now. I also got the gas pedal assembly and linkage to carb. It's different from the 68 set up but bolts right into the original holes. I also got a nice condition brown woodgrainy kind of horn pad for my 76 steering wheel. Had the truck heat on full all the way home to warm up. Brrrr.

All other 1971/77 F100/350's, 1975/77 Econolines (except '75/77's w/Speed Control), 1975/77 Bronco's have a black camera case finish horn pad.
1975/77 F100/350's & Econolines with Speed Control use a unique steering wheel and horn pad.
