New to the Diesel World
Alright so I'm wet behind the ears when it comes to diesels. I just got into a 1997 F250 has 320,000mi on it. It's bone stock besides k&n filter in the stock airfilter box.
It has a plow and a salt spreader on it. So first thing is replacing the exhaust which is rusted out. Then I'll take some rust oleum to it on the frame.
After that I thought about getting a TS6 chip in it.
What are some things I need to replace/upgrade in it with such high miles.

Welcome to fte.
Being a plow truck, higher mileage, and a 250, its bound to need lots of front end work, assuming the TTB is still under it. I'd be checking that out real good for one thing.
Get rid of that k&n filter, and the stock air box as your first mod. Search 6637 mod. The k&n is known to let dirt and dust past and screw with your turbo. When you pull the intake, look at the turbo wheel and see how it looks. Check it for play too, a little side to side is ok as long as it doesn't contact the housing. It should have no in/out play.
I don't know where you live, but this time of year a good glow plug system is needed in most places. Does it start in the cold ok?
Lots of other things to look at. A good once over from front to back will help.
